A toolbox for calculating greenhouse gas emissions from game development.
Play, Create, Calculate has been developed by the Swedish Games Industry in collaboration with U&We as part of the Vinnova-funded project Sustainability in new digital industries (Susindi). The toolbox consists of an Excel-based climate calculator and a guidance document with recommendations for how to assess greenhouse gas emissions that derive from game development. The target audience for the toolbox are small and medium-sized game developers with operations in Sweden or internationally. The toolbox is based on the Greenhouse Gas Protocol Corporate Standard and the Scope 3 Value Chain Standard to ensure a systematic approach that is aligned with established methods for calculating greenhouse gas emissions on an organisational level.
